Travel from AKL to AK?

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from AK to AKL? Can you walk or do you have to take the bus? We are thinking of exploring AKL on the day we do AK - maybe popping over for lunch at Mara's. Will this take too much time?

You must take the bus, but the whole ride is less than 10 minutes.

The bus ride from AKL to AK, or vice versa, takes all of 3 minutes!

There is no way to walk, but the bus ride as stated above is a whopping 3 minutes, if that.
