Travel during Presidents day weekend

Is DVC and the parks substantially busier during this time? I've never gone in February. How about the buses? Restaraunts? Waits at parks? Thanks

Expect some bump-up in crowds and fastpass times, but not as bad as during major holidays.

We went over President's Day two years ago. The weather was great (unseasonably warm...around 80 during the day).

I can say one thing about the parks...AVOID MK on Saturday. The Daytona 500 was scheduled for Sunday...and I think everyone who came for the race drove up to MK for the day on Saturday. The crowds were awful! I believe the same dates apply for 2005.

We went last President's week and 4 years ago. The parks will be crowded especially on weekends. Last year, it was cold all week long - we had our fleece jackets on most of the time and didn't use sunblock once. We still went in the pool and it was 40-50 degrees warmer than home. In 2000, it was chilly a few days and warmer the rest of the time. So, the weather is iffy that time of year. If you are travelling from the northeast, it is busy and expensive - make your plans early!

Presidents week was the tail end of our vacation a couple of years ago. We could not figure out why the parks were so busy. We are talking solid people in tomorrowland. where the day before there was 20 feet in front, behind, and on the side of you open while walking through there.

When we were on the airplane on the way home we made the comment to the people next to us and they informed us it was because of Presidents week and that this week was a winter vacation for many schools!

So if you can avoid that week and the weekend before I would! I know we won't be there again at that time! Also flights seem to be more expensive then too.

If it is the only time you can go - I would say go for it - but we have been spoiled with very low attendance when ever we hit the parks - except for next spring I am afraid!

We have gone every year at that time for the last 4 years. The weekend is the worst as not only are the people from the Northeast there but a lot of Floridians have 3 day weekend and do tend to go then. After Monday, we always see a change in the amount of people. I think MK is the worst. Stick with mornings and get out by 1 pm for a break. The weather is usually great although last year it was unusually cool. This year coming the vacation is later in the month and should get a little better weather.
