Does anyone know if you can bring your own travel cutlery set into the parks? I see they now sell sets inside the park. Thanks!

I'd just go on Amazon and get whatever's cheapest and/or well-recommended. You're just looking for something to put food in your mouth, after all. Don't overthink it!

I think you can. I’ve always brought plastic cutlery that restaurants have given me in the past.
I also have a set purchased from a camping store, for something a little more durable. And I bring my own straws. Those paper ones pretty much melt and then are consumed by my unwitting kid.

I’m glad you asked this because I was just thinking about this very subject! I’ve been having a lot of issues with TMJ and my right jaw has currently been locked for over a month now. Luckily I can still open an inch but at the rate it’s goimg I don’t think it will be unlocked by our trip in June. I have to cut up everything and was thinking about how a lot of the items you buy won’t have any cutlery so I was going to bring our camping/travel set with me to use for snacks and times we are not at a table service meal.

I keep thinking of the plastic camping sporks with the little serrated edge. So cute.

Those paper drinking straws Disney uses are terrible and tend to dissolve into mush before you even finish the beverage. While I understand why zoos prohibit plastic straws due to the danger they can pose to animals, I would certainly bring your own plastic straws to use elsewhere. Not clear why you need to bring your own utensils to a park. Every Disney restaurant I have even been at provides them.

Just a FYI.....Plastic straws are not allowed in AK.

I am thinking of bringing collapsible drinking straws. But definitely overthinking this because now I can't decide if it is necessary that they are sturdy enough to drink milkshakes and smoothies or any straw will do. Help!

We brought bamboo straws. We also have bamboo cutlery which I forgot to grab this last trip. One thing we need to pack is a knife for the room. My wife likes to cut up her apples and the plastic knives don’t do a good job.

Can you bring your own metal straws?

Yes.

I have a set of metal Oxo straws with silicone tops, they were not very expensive on Amazon.

For cutlery, I bring a metal set by the French brand Monbento, who I swear by for my work lunch supplies, though I don’t currently see my set in stock on their website. But they are well made and much sturdier than the cheap junk on Amazon.

Thanks. I thought it was ok,but when I got into chat with Disney they said all cutlery is prohibited except travel straws? Then I see they sell it in the parks. I had a bought a set of travel utensils from Amazon that came with metal butter knife, spoon, fork, chop sticks and straws but wasn’t sure about the butter knife or any of it.
