Travel Channel

Could anyone tell me, does the travel channel ever feature Poly or CSR? I would love to see specials on them... I'm watching one right now for GF.

Nope.

I read recently (and I'm not sure if this is true) that Samantha Brown, host of the Great Hotels show, said that she won't do the Poly b/c she does the real Hawaii shows and the Poly isn't real Hawaii. (I know it's not supposed to be Hawaii, per se, but Ms. Brown apparently doesn't know that.) Oh well.

I've never seen a moderate resort on travel channel.

From what I have seen, the only hotels that Samantha goes to is GF, WL and AKL. There are various Disney specials that show part of the hotels but nothing in-depth like Great Hotels.

The GF show actually just ended here on the East Coast. It was on at 11:30. Tomorrow (also 11:30 Eastern) Travel Channel's running the YC/BC show. In other shows in the near future, Wednesday at 5 p.m. Eastern is Disneyland:Behind the Scenes, and next Tuesday (4/19) at 10 a.m. Eastern is the Animal Kingdom special.
Gotta love Travel Channel. I want Samantha Brown's job. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm anywhere near PERKY!!!! enough to get it...

That's the show I watched, at 11:30. I'll have to check out tomorrow's episode. I would love to see more inside the POLY and CSR. I wish Disney would go into more details on their videos regarding the resorts. I live so far away and when planning a trip, it's hard to decide...

none of the moderate, value or dvc resorts will be done.

although she does stop by the dvc resorts when they are attached to a hotel.

on one of the shows - she says that WDW has rooms at all prices and I think they show a little of Pop century - but that is all I have seem.

none of the originally WDW resorts have been done and I don't think will be- the Cont, Polyn, FW or SOG.

the Polyn does not need the business, FW is more a campground than a hotel, SOG is military.

that leaves the Cont - I would hope if the long overdo rehab is done and it looks good - WDW will have her do the Cont - but who knows....
