I saw a post recently with reviews of good books for WDW. I can't find it now and am trying to figure out what to do....HELP! We have always done DL and may be headed East next year. Can you help me out?

I can't recommend the Passporter Guilde to Walt Disney World strongly enough.

passporter.com is the website.

(Disclosure: I'm an expert reviewer in the Disneyland edition, but do not work for them in terms of sales or promotion in any way. I don't gain anything if you buy the book, but even before I was involved, I used it and loved it.)

My favorite is THE UNOFFICIAL GUIDE TO WALT DISNEY WORLD by Bob Sehlinger. You will find it in any good bookstore. Look for the 2007 edition. Sells for about twenty bucks, has excellent advice on WDW, is about 800 pages long, and is fun to read.

Enjoy.

I totally agree. :cool1:

I have gotten many travel guides. My Unofficial Guide does not arrive until January but I have heard it is a good one. I've also enjoyed the WDW Trivia book, the hidden Mickey book and Foders. (S.M. Barrett writes several different guides almost fine tuned to what your style is).

My newest favorite is a spiral bound book called EZ Fun Guide to Walt Disney World. There is a thread about it but of course I could not find it to post here! You can order the book directly from the authors site -- including shipping it was $17.50. (Also offered at Amazon and is either in or can be ordered at book stores).

This guide is interesting and has the best maps I EVER saw. It also can be ordered as an E book. Here is the site below. A nice planning guide is included. The author is a DIS member too!! I really liked this and wish I had this one BEFORE my first trip though I have found it good for second one! :thumbsup2

I love the Unofficial Guide and the Passporter. I've found those are the best with great information.

Have a super trip!

The unofficial guide is the absolute best and most comprehensive and tells things that other books do not. Passporter is a beautiful book though and we love to take it with us each year because it is helpful to organize days' events and ADRs. :thumbsup2

The Unofficial Guide is the best by far. It has every minutae of detail you could imagine and is often funny. It is also opinionated of all things Disney. The official guide is a complete waste of time. Passporter is also good. You could also try the smily guy at the top of this page.

Wow, thanks everyone! I will hit the bookstores soon :)

The last time I was at WDW was winter of 1988, I am sure quite a bit has changed :rotfl2:

I'll check out that smily guy up there as well, bad to say I didn't even notice it!

hey, i have read the unofficial guide as well...thumbs up....it is really useful packed with relevant info that we need to know about WDW.... :thumbsup2

my newest guide will be this guide written by Beth Haworth...in this e-book is all about how u can really save your money but u still can have fun like others....i am personally into her advise as i have tried it back last summer... :cool1:
