Travel Agents vs Planning myself

I did the Disney College Program, and have been there many times. Usually just with a few friends. This is the first time I have to plan for a whole family. There will be at least 4 of us, 2 adult and 2 kids. My grandma and aunt will probably be going also, making 6 of us.

I am trying to find the best deal. We were thinking of going in June, while they still have the spring sale. I am just trying to figure out if it's cheaper for me to plan a package deal through Disney, or check out what some travel agents have to offer. Does anyone have any suggestions?

TA's don't give you anymore discounts than what Disney can. They might know more discounts, but anyone can get them. You can review the DIS here and call Disney for any discounts available and what you can combine. Personally, I wouldn't do another TA again. I did 3 trips myself and thought I would have a break on the 4th and have a TA do it. Biggest mistake. Maybe I got a dud, but wouldn't do it again. With time and research you can do a good job yourself.
