Travel agent booking character meals?

I am working with a Travel Agent from Magical Travel. He says that they can take care of all of our character meal reservations. We will be at WDW on my dd's 5th birthday, and it is very, very important that we get the princess meals on that day. Should I trust the agent to get the job done, or attempt to do it on my own? Thanks for any insight!

I would suggest you do it on your own. Yes, they can do it, but you're not their only priority so since it's so important that you get it on that day, I would suggest you start calling on the very first day you can.

Ditto, also start calling the minute reservations open. Especially if you want CRT.

I used a travel agent last December and it was our first experience at CRT. My travel agent did a better job getting the times/dates I wanted than I did! Of course I called when she confirmed the reservations to double check. I wasn't ready to rely solely on her .

We're using Magical Travel. Our TA is wonderful. She is so helpful when I have questions for her. And since this is an anniversary trip for us, she's helped point out a few special things for us to consider doing while there.

She made all of our ADR's for us and got us the times wanted for all but one, but that wasn't her fault (MVMCP times was the problem). She also made DD's BBB ADR, and told me to let her know if I decide to make DH Richard Petty Racing ADR as a suprise for him.

Just let him know which one is most important to you (and why it's most important).

If it is a super special meal, I'd let the TA try AND try yourself. That way you double your chances of getting what you want. You just call and cancel the one you don't end up wanting.

IF your travel agent said they would do it let them do it. They wouldnt of offered if they couldnt get it done. That is there job...at least it is with me..when people book disney with me I offer to make there dining reservations for them and do it...Disney is going to work more with a travel agent than just a person calling in.
