Trauma Scars and Disney Tattoos

I would love to see all your tattoos! I am a tattoo virgin and have acquired myself a new, really ugly scar from a bad fall.

My absolutely favourite is the haunted mansion and pirates of the carribean. I'm also in love with the Disney castle and Mickey Mouse outline.

I would love some help designing a tattoo that would encorporate my scar somehow.

....since your scar goes in a north/south direction, it might be able to be hidden as the edge of the HM wall....

Are you a fan of star wars? Might be neat to tattoo Darth Vader and have that as his red light saber.

Idk anything about tattoos or scars but may sure you find out how long you have to wait for it to heal and find the best tattoo artist to work with scars. I'm sure that you will and already know that but I just like to be captain obvious at times!

Rappelling: when you climb down a mountainside using a rope to hold onto. Feet against the Rockwall, hands on the rope.

Oh repelling! Yes I get it! Star Wars isn't my thing, however I appreciate your advise on making sure to find someone good with scars. I know nothing about how ink can affect tattoo work so it's excellent advise, and it should be one of the first questions I have when walking into any tattooing location.

....PLUS, the bricks are reddish, so that could help disguise your scar too....

You know it's funny I never thought in a million years I would ever get a tattoo! But I'm having some serious self esteem issues and feel like I look so ugly with that scars!
It's so strange because I'm not the type to be affected by something like this!

I came off a horse about a year ago now and had to have my humerus put back together after snapping it in half.

Just out of curiosity have you tried Mederma on your scar. My son used it on his chin after getting stitches and it made the scar almost disappear. May be worth a try before getting a tattoo.

LOL that green smiley was hilarious! I'm sorry didn't mean to gross you out, it makes 2 of us.

I have been using Mederma religiously for the last 8 months. I haven't seen enough of change. I am still using it hoping with time it might help.

....and yes I do feel weather change. Having a lot of nerve pain along the incision, which I think will eventually go away.

Sometimes when something changes the way you look it automatically changes the way you see yourself. From experience I can tell you that this is true for scars AND tattoos. Eventually you get used to both. Personally I would want to be okay with having a scar first. You might also want to consider that it's not going to hold ink the same. If you do get a tat, make sure you have a damn good artist that knows what they're doing.
