Trattoria al Forno, a new casual Italian restaurant at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort, is now open. From tempting regional specialties to crowd-pleasing classics, this new Walt Disney World® Resort restaurant offers diners an authentic taste of Italy.

Showcasing traditional techniques, Trattoria al Forno celebrates the diversity of Italian cuisine with authentic ingredients and recipes hailing from all over “The Boot,” from Milan to Rome. Menu items include house-made daily mozzarella atop Neapolitan-style pizzas, hand-rolled pastas, velvety risottos and seasonal seafood.

For a sweet end to the meal, enjoy signature-blend Italian coffee accompanied by Italian dessert classics, such as tiramisù, lemon panna cotta, gelato and more.

The restaurant’s extensive wine list, which is 100 percent Italian, takes a journey through Italy’s 20 wine regions.

And, for breakfast, Trattoria al Forno offers up American favorites with classic Italian tastes, including scrambled eggs with tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella, or cured Italian meats with tomatoes, hard-boiled egg, and cheese with fonduta (a warm cheesy sauce for dipping bread).

Trattoria al Forno is open 7:30 a.m.- 11 a.m. for breakfast, 5-10 p.m. for dinner and accepts the Disney Dining Plan.

Thank God! Another Italian restaurant. Exactly what the Epcot area was missing!

Yeah, but this one is "casual" so you won't need to break out the formal wear to get your pizza and gelato like all those other places. ;)

I was thinking of trying it out when I'm there in January, just because I like going to brand-new restaurants (went to Yak and Yeti the week they opened). If anyone has breakfast there, please post how it is.

We had breakfast "there" before our October Dream cruise. They were previewing the menu at Flying Fish. It was not good- it was SPECTACULAR!!!! Everyone was beyond satisfied with their meals- especially the two of us who had the polenta, sausage, tomato and egg dish. It was SO good, I made an ADR for dinner on our next trip. And they had the same sangria Kouzzina did, so yippee there, too. I know, I know.... it's ANOTHER Italian restaurant, what were they thinking...but when it's so yummy, isn't that ok? :goodvibes

We also did the breakfast preview at Flying Fish. Totally awesome. Same chef staff as Kouzzina.

Ok, I must be missing some thing. How is this different from Via Napoli? outside you don't need a park ticket?

Via Napoli is not exactly dress up???

We took a quick trip to Rome this year, and when I saw this menu, I couldn't book it fast enough. I'm really looking forward to the "Smoked Prosciutto, Potato, Rosemary, and Mozzarella" pizza. I never imaged potatoes on a pizza would be so delicious. Three more days!

is there a menu yet?? never mind I found it. Are ressies needed in FEB?

If you follow the link posted above there is a menu in the review- I was curious as to why they would put in ANOTHER Italian restaurant, too, but it REALLY looks special and if our breakfast in October is any kind of barometer, we are going to love it!:thumbsup2

We had a nice dinner there on Sunday and a nice breakfast yesterday. For dinner, DH had the eggplant rollatini and I had the shrimp. The food was good, basic Italian. They offered reasonable portions (at least for what we ordered) instead of the overly large portions that we used to get regularly. We wouldn't have been happy splitting an entree this small so luckily we didn't. We split the canolli dessert which was a bit disappointing. Three small bits, with overly thick and tasteless shells surrounding filling which wasn't bad. The decaf drip coffee was good but we wish they had decaf cappuccino. Service was okay. Our server was trying too hard and was not very organized. At the end of the meal she gave us the wrong bill which we didn't realize until the next day when DH realized that we were undercharged about $20. We went back to straighten it out the next morning and the very nice manager Eric told us not to worry about it.

The breakfast was okay. We both had frittatas, which seemed premade they were so identical. We ordered sliced tomato on the side and I still don't think they should charge for that kind of thing but they treated us so nicely about the dinner bill that I really can't complain about that.
