Trash & towel service for 4 night stay?

We're checking in on a Saturday, out on a Wednesday (4 nights). Does anyone know if they count your check-in day? If we get service on Tuesday, I want to make sure to leave a tip.

Your check-in day is counted as day 1. Trash & Towel service would be day 4, which is Tuesday.

I have often called housekeeping and requested my Trash and Towel or full cleaning be moved forward a day or two when it occurs on the last full day. Or when only doing four days will just cancel it and put a Do not Disturb sign out.

Great idea! Depending on how "trashy" we are, I may ask to move it up or cancel it all together.

You can take out your own trash if you like. You can get the clean towels instead of just cancelling it all together.

I don't know where my brain is--this is the 4th time we've stayed at a DVC property. Not sure why I forgot that we can take care of our own trash. Thanks for the reminder!

Don't forget that the pool has towels. No I am not recommending that you use pool towels in your room. But don't take your room towels to the pool.

It does get confusing since we usually think in terms of "nights" for a reservation, but housekeeping is measured in "days."
