I just saw a post on page 2 it was about makeup and hair, but one posted had a picture she had taken in water for her "trash the dress" DD has talked about doing this. I wasn't at all sure about it but I have seen a couple pictures that were WONDERFUL. I am getting use to the idea that she may want to do it and really why not she isn't looking at a dress that is outrageously priced and alot of people I know have either sold or gotten rid of their dresses after awhile anyway.

So if anyone here has done this could you please post your pictures on here so we can see them?? I know alot of people don't like the idea of doing it but please I would love to see some of them. I am not sure if DD would do it at WDW or wait awhile but I would love to see anything that anyone has.

Trash? the dress? meaning ruin it? :scared1:

not necessarily RUIN, a lot of them can be cleaned by a good dry cleaning.

do a google images search of "trash the dress" and a lot of really neat pictures will come up!!

for example: (NONE of these are mine, p.s., but they are online so fair game, right? ;) )

I can't wait to do this! I'm thinking maybe for our second or third wedding anniversary, because I want to go back to Florida and frolic in the ocean! I'm collecting images I like an really looking forward to it. It it doesn't actually RUIN the dress. After getting wet and dirty it can be cleaned.

jdybnsn, those are lovely!! the one with you and your husband in the water where it's crystal blue is so nice!

Those are some of the most beautiful pictures!!! I love it!!! Gorgeous family...love the one of you two in the water...oh and laying on the beach. You could feel the love. You gave me goosebumps!

Those pictures are beautiful! Your children are so adorable! I wish you and your family much happiness!

I've been thinkng alot about doing this too. For many reasons. But I'd like some more pics of DH and I that I didn't get at our wedding, and I just think it would be fun. Not TRASH it, just go play in the ocean or something. Great idea.

I love the "almost" from Here to Eternity pic on the beach. Those are really good. I'm thinking about it.

Anybody have any great ideas about where to do it at Disney. I might use an "Engagement" shoot to do that. I know PrincessBrideKatie did hers at Downtown Disney.

Well, judging by this sign we found, I'd say definitely don't do it at Celebration's lake! :rotfl:

Thank you for your kind comments :goodvibes

...you may be interested to know that after the wedding & photos, as soon as we reboarded the Disney Magic, we sent the bag of wet sandy clothes off to the ship's laundry (goodness only knows what they made of them on receipt !).
....and by 8pm that night we were in the dining room wearing them again - you would not have known we had trashed them earlier ! - good work Disney !

My only consession was that I did have an identical dress (thanks to Ebay), to change into for the ride back to the ship...and just in case the dress really had got ruined !

Good luck to you up and comming brides..... and if it appeals to you then do it because you won't regret it !

I've seen some really neat shots of the bride & groom jumping into swimming pools...so that could be an alternative if you did it at one of the resorts, or better still one of the Disney waterparks if they would allow it ?
Though doing Plummet Summit in your dress maybe taking it too far, you could get some similar shots to ours in the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon, or Blizzard Beach !(lol) !

WOW! Those pictures are absolutely gorgeous, Judy! Your family is beautiful and your photos are the most unique I've ever seen. BTW, I LOVE the one of you two kissing under the gazebo and the kids are covering their eyes. Priceless!
