Has anyone done one? I'm thinking of doing one next summer - we've been married six years - I'd love to pull out my dress again and do a photo shoot with it....(we don't have children, so not saving it for a daughter...really, it's just taking up space in the attic!)

I am definitely considering doing one since we will be staying in Orlando the week after our wedding. We actually just hired our photog tonight (yay!) and his TTD pictures are amazing and making me totally want to do it, LOL.

My dress is raw silk, so I cant trash it. All in all, it might even survive being washed in the washing machine!

Granted it is custom made and I designed it to be comfortable and versatile. ;)

My mom is photographer -- and we are going to do this when we get back home from the wedding..

I will not be doing it my dress though -- we are going to go to Goodwill or something and get a secondhand dress so I wouldn't mind getting it dirty...

:o)

I love this idea!

Does anyone know any locations in Disney where you would be allowed to do it?? :confused3

OMG I wanted to do that when we went down for our honeymoon but my husband said it would be a pain to try and get my dress on the plane or pack it or anything. I'm hoping when I go again I can do it.

I'm going to do this next year I think. What else is the dress good for, anyway?!

That's how I look at it. And I'm not really going to be trying to "trash" it, but I would love some pictures in our fall woods, and on the beach where my husband proposed....us playing in the water, us with our beloved dogs - just some fun shots that capture our relationship six years later... :lovestruc :lovestruc

If anyone has a nice gown in a 12/14 I will pay for shipping, LOL!

Seriously, I am scouting eBay for a dress for under $50 shipped and when I am finished with it, I will probably sell it on Craigslist or something to help pay the honeymoon bills, LOL. Lots of brides-to-be would love an inexpensive dress.

i'm not all for "trashing" your dress, i mean if you get it a little wet or dirty thats easily cleaned.

i bought my dress at brides agaisnt breast cancer, and the profits of their dress sales goes to a worthy cause.

We had plans to do a trash the dress session at the pool at the Animal Kingdom Lodge but I wussed out and the photographer was sick anyways so I changed my mind. When Carolyn Allens was steaming my dress and heard Robert say we were jumping in the pool at the end of the night the look on her face was priceless. She told me that it would completely ruin my dress as it was silk taffeta and could not even be steamed because water would damage it.

Oh well... I still want to do it though. Really, what am I going to do with it? There is this beautiful waterfall in Georgia that me and DH climbed on one of our vacations and I was thinking it would be fun to go there and do it.

I would love to see pictures of this if anyone did it at Disney. If you did please post! :)

i now wish I had worn mine down to Castaway and had pictures in the water..not trashing, just standing in the surf..

But I have a DD and who knows..even if she doesn't wear the dress, she might be able to use the lace for her own gown

I'm trashing my dress in January. I'm not sure what exactly we're doing and I'm leaving the creative ideas to my photographer. All I know for now is that the photographer asked me if I had pink converse - and yes! I sure do!!! So, I'm doing it in about a month... I'll make sure to post my pics when I get them.

omg tracy - you should totally do it with pink chucks - that's KILLER!

I'm thinking about doing one in january as well, but we're doing our MK shoot then and I don't want to be COMPLETELY broke ringing in the new year. lol I hate the thought of dragging it back down to florida though so I'm torn. Misty said she would love to do another one. She told me about one of her brides who jumped in the pool with her bridal party -- unfortunately they didn't tell HER they were going to do it - or they could have got WAY better pics of it. Silly, why wouldn't you tell your photographer??

I wouldn't mind rolling around in the mud - those would be some awesome pictures...

As a mom, who has to pinch pennies, I feel compelled to say, I think I'd check with my parents first, if they paid for the dress. I know it's a gift, and belongs to the bride, but I'd :faint: if my daughter (thankfully, I don't have one of those :goodvibes I'll stick with boys!) ruined a dress I paid thousands for. :scared1: I'd probably ask for it back, and sell it on ebay first. :rotfl2:

Just food for thought!

That being said.....I've seen some really neat Trash the Dress pictures! If I had a formal wedding dress, it'd be something I'd consider myself.
