So this yr I would really like to get one of the gingerbread houses from the GF -- but I am wondering how to safely get ti home on an airplane- I am afraid it will get crushed?- do they box them up or is it just in the plastic cellophane wrapping?

A stout double ply corrugated cardboard box if not a hard sided musical instrument quality case is needed to get it home with reasonable safety via commercial airplane.

We were at wdw in Dec of 2006 and ask about shipping GB House home and was told they would not ship nor would they even deliver to your resort

Bought one 2 years ago. It went into a box similar to build a bear, but less sturdy. Took it as carry on.

I bought one in 2008 and brought it in the plane as a carry on. The flight attendant on Air Tran gave me a hard time because i refused to stow it under the seat in front of me. I was afraid to lay it on its side. She eventually stowed it upright in a cabin at the front of the plane. I brought some bubble wrap with me in my suitcase to put in the box. It came home in one piece. To my knowledge the GF will not ship home due to it being fragile.
Hope this helps!

I wonder if it would be worth it to take it to a "Pack and Mail" store where they would pack it carefully and ship it to your address? Would that be toooo expensive?
