Hi,beings you guys and gals are the guru in camping I would like to post this dilemma for you.

First we have a fifth wheeler.

Second we do have a ladder on it. :laundy:

I have a trike (3 wheeler bike that does not fold up.

Any ideas on how to transport this big bike.

My husband is planning on putting it in the truck. Maybe someone else has a better idea.

In the truck sounds like the ticket to me!

Being as the bike may be too wide to go in the camper, you probably have no choice but to situate it in the back of the truck. (We haul 4-5 bikes in the back of my Dad's truck with no problem and they have a 5th wheel as well.)
Happy transporting! :woohoo:

I would also say back of the truck, as long as it doesn't impact the turn of the trailer. If need be to reduce it's size, does the front wheel remove easily?

You could always build a carrier for the back of the 5th wheel. But it would be easier to put it in the back of the truck.

Come on Michael. After all the thousands we spent on golf cart transportation and this is all you can offer. :lmao:

Thanks RVer's for your input. I believe my DH got it right.
If the Trike went in the back of the pickup, it would stand 42 inches in an upright position. The trailer would clip it on a sharp turn. My DH said 'if I lay it down on its side, up near the cab of the truck, past the 5th wheel hitch, the high point is 28 inches (back wheels)'. Hitched up, the bed of the pickup to the bottom of the 5th wheel overhang is 30 inches. Close, but it does clear. On real tight turns (manuvering) we have a manual slider to move the trailer further back.
We are rookies, but we have learned to check everything. Correction ; double check everything. When we go to DIZ, I know the 1st 100 miles with the Trike will be a white knuckler for my husband. The Trike & DH will survive.

Just strap the trike into place so it doesn't move itself into a "non-clearing" position. :scared1:
