Transportation with Olga res. after park closes.

DHS closes at 9 and we have a reservation at Olga’s for 9:45.

Will the friendship boats still run or do we have to walk to back to BWV?

First of all, it's Oga's. (Yes, I know spell check often makes it Olga's. Just saying.)

Disney never strands its resort guests. Some type of transportation will be available until the final guest has left the park. It is often a bus that might make multiple stops, if it's very late, but they will get you to your resort.

I feel like we had a post-close reservation at Oga's and took the skyliner back to Riv? But we were able to get in earlier than our reservation time. And DHS close was 9:30 that night, which also helped.

They will have some form of transportation. If the boats and Skyliner are both closed, they'll make sure a bus is there to bring you over.

This. Just talk to a transportation CM, they will help you out. I ended up getting my own private boat back to the GF from MK on my 40th birthday after a late dinner at CRT saw me leaving the park well after close, the monorails had stopped running and I was too tired to walk home. I didn't even have to ask for help, a CM saw me going toward the resort monorail ramp and came over.

I didn't miss it. I shared my direct actual experience that your resort being within walking distance of a park does not mean CMs will just tell you to hoof it home at night when other options stop running.

The captains tell you if you miss the last boat you have to walk. Walking has been listed as one of transportation options for EPCOT resorts for almost 20 years.

The walking path from the GF to the MK is recent.

Depending on where your room is, it might be just as close to walk home as the boat dock anyway.

Monorail, Skyliner and watercraft will have specific times that they stop running. Buses run until parks are empty.
