Transportation transfers

It depends on how many are in your party, the age of everyone (and the need for car seats), when you land at MCO and if you wish to stop on the way to get water, alcohol, or other things.

Disney transfers: $39 pp each way. No car seats needed.
Private Transportation: lots of companies to choose from. People have used Happy Limo, Florida Tours, Mears. About the same price as Disney transfers if 4 or more in your party. Will provide car seats.
Uber: a little less expensive than private transportation.
Rent a car: least expensive option but have to pick up and drop off car. At Port Canaveral the rental car agency is a few miles from cruise terminal. There is a free shuttle services from the terminal to the rental car agency

Solid advice.
I'm of the mindset that if your party is 4 or more, private transportation is the option that makes more sense.
If you're 5+ its a no brainer. Almost the same cost as the Disney bus. Plus you get a comfy vehicle, your private chauffeur, lots of room for your bags, you don't line-up at the airport like cattle, they pick you up wherever you are, you don't have to worry about returning a rental or parking. It's awesome.
I'm partial to Happy Limo, but I'm sure the others suggested by Weedy are just as good. (will try one of them next time we sail out of PC)

Is the Disney transfer $39 each way from the resorts as well?

We used Go Port and it was $15 per person from cruise port to MCO. We had to wait for about 15minutes at the terminal for the next shuttle to arrive.

What are good choices for getting to the cruise from MCO?

Go Port Canaveral.

Very affordable (we booked online and paid 15$ per person each way). Well organized and efficient.

Sunshine Limousine is pretty good too... but the pricing is a bit higher. ;)

Just tried Go Port for the first time. Party of 4 was$119 round trip. Nice buses very clean. Will do it again as it offers nice savings vs DCL bus- which I love but looked to save a few dollars
