transportation to universal?

Can you folks give us some ideas and $$ on different transportation costs to get the 6 of us from SSR to universal?

any shuttles? is our only options mears or a taxi? we would rather not have the hassle of renting a car, we are doing DME for that reason?

Parking at Universal is $14 and mears is $18 r/t with reservations in advance 24 hours. Cash only

If you go to the transportation center you can get a public bus to universal for $1.50 per person

Not to hijack the thread, but....... How do you get to Aquatica from WDW? Can anyone compare it to WDW water parks?

Yes there is a bus from the TTC but I think it takes about an hour and is not very convienent due to the stops it makes. You can also get a bus to the Florida Mall. The transportation board could also help. They are very good.

We did the Mears transfer and Universal tickets in March. Unfortunately, it didn't work as expected. The bus never showed up and Mears said they would send a town car. Finally that arrived, but the driver expected cash payment after this reservation had been pre-paid (I can't blame him--he didn't know). I had to make a copy of the pre-paid reservation before he would take my DD and her friend to Universal. It probably took 2+ hours from when the girls left the room until they entered Universal.

Fortunately, the BWV valet was so helpful in calling Mears and being supportive.

Their return trip was uneventful.
