Transportation to Universal

Hi All,

This is my first time to this board so I don't know if this is where I should post this question. We are going down to Disney in December and staying at Saratoga Springs. We will not be renting a car but would like to do a one-day trip down to Universal. Does anyone know if Disney provides bus service? If not do you know what the best way for us to get down there would be?

WDW definitely does NOT provide bus service to a competitor such as Universal. Dh and I just take a taxi and it's about $20 each way. Well worth it in my opinion.

There is a shuttle service offered by mears but there are certain drop off and pick up times, I recommend a taxi as well.

You could probably rent a car for cheaper than the taxi fare, but there is a $10 parking charge at universal. You can take the city bus also, but i heard it is a long ride. I have seen some horror stories from the Mears shuttle about them not coming to pick you up with you call, or being too full to take you at the time they confirmed.

I have always heard atleast $30 each way. If $20 is accurate that is awesome since we will be going to HHN twice from the Disney area. Does anyone else have any input on this?

jpeppers, it was for HHN that we went last year - and I remember paying about $20 - it might have been a buck or 2 over - but that depends on what you want to tip.
