Hello,

My family will be staying at the WDW All Star Movie Resort from 05/04 - 05/10. On one of the days we would like to go to Universal (Harry Potter Theme Park), but we are not renting a car since the rest of the stay we will have easy transportation to all of the WDW parks from our hotel.

My travel agent suggested calling a cab, but with 5 people (3 children) I was wondering if there were any shuttle services or Town Car services available that went from the WDW hotels to the Universal theme parks and back to the hotel?

I see Town Car services from the Airport to Hotels and back, but nothing like what I am requesting.

There has to be others that stay on Disney Resorts that wish to go to other parks (Universal, Sea World, etc.) right? Any suggestions?

Thank you.

too bad, a cab would only be $35 plus tip each way

check out mears for shuttle rates

have you considered renting a minivan onsite for just one day? it might be the most economical and there are alternate routes other than I-4 if you don't want to do highway driving

if you haven't bought your U tix yet, check out dreams unlimited TA link here, they have tix w/free transportation (via mears, you do need to pre-schedule your times)

good luck

When I took a cab from US to AS Music, it was closer to $50 by the time I added a tip. I'm not sure if shuttles would be cheaper when you have 5 people. I don't think there's really any economical way to quickly get there and back. I'd budget $100 and take a cab both ways. I suppose renting a car for one day would be cheaper, but then there's the time commitment of picking up the car and returning it.

There's a sticky thread at the top of this board, dedicated to this subject.

If you start with the newest post and work backwards, you'll find lots of info about taxis, shuttles, towncars, and hired vans to Universal.

5 people are not a problem. Taxi vans that accommodate 7 passengers are readily available at WDW resorts for the same rate as traditional taxis. I would expect they're also available at US, which has a taxi stand with usually dozens of taxis waiting.

The Mears shuttle is about $20.00 round trip per person. They're what we use, but there is only two of us. With a larger group a cab might be cheaper.
