Transportation to Universal From DLR

Forgive me if I have asked this before (senior moment), but I am visiting DLR for the first time next year and I would also like to visit Universal. How can I get to Universal Studios without renting a car?

You can take the train (both Amtrack and MetroLink) from the Anaheim or Fullerton Stations to Union Station in Los Angeles, then take the subway (called the Red Line) directly to Universal.
