How much would it be for transportation from a Disney resort (Saratoga Springs or Boardwalk) to Universal Studios?

Mears has a shuttle service and I think someone mentioned it was $18.00 a person but they will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Universal and you have to give them 24 hours notice

That's kind of expensive...$72 for a family of 4...I think we may rent a car instead!
