Transportation to the Ft. Wilderness Campfire?

We are going in July and staying at Pop. One day we are not doing parks at all. We have a reservation at Chef Mickey at the CR for 5:20 that night. I know to get there we take the MK bus from Pop. After the dinner I would like to head over to Ft. Wilderness and do the campfire sing along thing with Chip and Dale and watch the movie. First question is do we take the boat from CR to Ft Wilderness or do we need to go to MK and catch the boat? Once at Ft. Wilderness how do we get to the campfire site?

From what I've read the movie starts at 8:45 so I am guessing it will be over by about 10:30. MK closes at 10 that night. How do we get back to Pop from Ft. Wilderness? I was thinking we'd need to take the boat back to MK and catch the bus? Will they still be running the boats to MK at 10:30 or is there a better way to get back to Pop?

You can take the boat from CR to Ft. Wilderness. I'm not sure about buses on the way home, though. In any case, you would be able to take the boat back to the CR afterwards.

There are always resort buses leaving Ft. Wilderness at the end of the night after Hoop Dee Doo, but I don't know anything about the timing.

Transportation to and from the parks continue until about 2 hours after the park closes.
Once the campfire is over, if the MK is open until 10:00 you will be able to take the boat back to the MK and then get a bus back to the POP.
I so not know where the campfire is located, but I found this on Deb Wills site:

Note: the campfire/sing-along is located in the middle of the Fort Wilderness campground (about a 15-minute walk from Pioneer Hall). If you do not wish to walk, you will have to catch a bus that is on the internal Fort Wilderness route (you can catch this bus at the Pioneer all bus stops). Get off at the Meadowlands Trading Post stop. If the campground is crowded, the campfire/sing-along may also be crowded.

To get to the campfire from the marina, walk, or take the Orange bus to the Meadows stop also known as 900 loop.

There are two options to getting back to Pop.

One is to take the boat to MK, then get a bus to Pop.

Another option if you want to is to take the Orange bus back to the Settlement bus depot and hang around there for a bit.

Ft. Wilderness provides buses to all of the resorts after the late Hoop De Doo shows. So somewhere between 10:45 and 11:00 pm the 9:30 Hoop De Doo will be over and they will start loading buses to various resorts. Tell them you are going to Pop and they will tell you which bus to get on. They will stop at multiple resorts, but you won't be fighting the bus crowds at MK.
