Since we are not staying on property, we will be taking the car to all dining experiences -- so here is the big question:

If we have a breakfast ADR at say the Polynesian for example, could we leave the car there all day and take the monorail to MK then pick up the car at the end of the night -- or do they screen for those things? And does the Poly, GF, or AKL charge for parking?

Thanks! I am about 75% finished the planning, just keep trying to perfect things! :)

We ate at the Poly for the Spirit of Aloha dinner and they gave us a temporary parking pass with a 2 hour time limit. I'm not 100% sure if this is because of where we were eating or what. We ended up doing valet though (somehow got if for free :cool1:, maybe a disney bday present?) so I'm not sure.

No.
Drive to the Magic Kingdom parking lot. Take the monorail (or the footpath to the left of the ferry) to the Polynesian, then reboard the monorail to get to the Magic Kingdom after breakfast.
Non-resort Guests, especially at the park-adjacent hotels, can park at the hotel for a limited period, to dine, shop, "spa", etc. But all-day parking is for the Guests of that hotel only.
