On past trips I have always boated or bused to magic kingdom and driven to the other three parks. Going in august and wanted to know if taking a bus from campsites to other three parks would be best choice since no tram from parking lot. Does anyone who has been this summer have any insight. Thank you for any help that you could give.

We were there June 3-8. We took the bus to MK and drove to the other parks. This is our first trip that we have ever driven to the parks so I don't have experience with the parking lot trams. We arrived a little before opening at DHS and then left mid day and came back later. We arrived in the afternoon at epcot and AK.
The walk was the longest for AK and epcot. But I didn't think it was awful. We still got to the park quicker and back home quicker than if we had taken the bus. I really enjoyed driving to the parks and especially enjoyed leaving after park closing in our vehicle. I think we will rent a car for all future trips.

Are the boats not currently running on Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon to transport guests to MK? Heading there in a few weeks (Grand/Polynesian). I heard the pathway between Poly and Grand is also closed. So if no boats, no monorail and no walking (from Poly), that will be a bit of a pain. Just wondered what are the current options from anyone who has visited recently.

The boats are running. We were at fort wilderness and we had the option of a boat or a bus. One person in our party has anxiety about riding boats so we opted for the bus.

Thank you for the update! Much appreciated.

Came back last week. We boated to MK (except one time we caught the bus at the Settlement when it happened to be waiting when we got off the internal bus) and bused to the other 3 parks. We had a vehicle, but didn't want to be tied down to a particular park if we wanted to park hop.

Boats were great all times of the day. Internal buses were pretty good. WAY better than I've experienced at CBR in the past (see signatures for timing).

When I went 2 years ago, if you hit the park opening there was no need for the trams. Boat to mk , drove to the rest. We got to the parks at opening. We even waited for and walked to the AK tram. But after we got to the gate it would have been less walking if we skiped the tram. I guess it depends on when you go, so time of day and time of season.

We've always driven to AK, DHS, & Epcot. Boat to MK. The trams weren't running this last trip (May 2021) but we found that if we got to the parks 1 hr early we got a parking space up front. Plus, they were opening the parks about an hour early anyway so it worked out great. nDH usually cuts out early in the truck so I've ridden buses 'home' a couple of times and it's always taken longer than driving.

After a 4 day drive, we take the Buses, let Disney do the work in my book, DW, DD's and I enjoy the margaritas (mexico in Epcot, Brown Derby in HS, Thirsty river in AK) we don't mind waiting for the bus, we are all scattered around the country now, more family time to catch up

I drive to every park except MK. I don't like riding the Tram from the parking lot to the gate so we bus to MK or boat when we are at the Fort.
I prefer to leave late and that means waiting in a long line for a bus or walking to my car and leaving.. i chose the latter. ;)
