Transportation to Fort Wilderness

We will be doing HDDMR at Fort Wilderness and already have our PS.

We are staying at ASMo - and using Disney Transportation only. Can we get there via the buses? Is there a direct route there? How long should we allow for travel time? We have the 5:00 PS.

You can take the bus to MK, then get on the ferry to Fort Wilderness

Or you can take the bus to MGM and catch the FW bus from there. The MGM-FW bus stops at the Settlement Depot which is right outside of Pioneer Hall.

How long (approximately) should be plan on leaving? We have a 5:00 PS for the show. This is a "down day" for us - so it should be leisurely - but don't want to cut it too close.

Getting there should be no problem. The bus to MK and the boat to FW should take no more than an hour. The boat ride is nice.

Now getting back: IF MK is still open, reverse the above.

If it is not you MAY have to take a bus to DTD and then a bus to your resort. You may luck out and have a bus to your resort waiting there at the Settlement. They have started having busses to the resorts from HDD during the busy times of the year.
