Transportation to early morning Character Breakfasts

I've made a couple ADRs for character breakfasts before the opening of the park they are in. I asked the reservationist how one gets to the restaurant before the park opens and she suggested it would be easiest if I drove myself. That seems like a nightmare to me as I imagine the parking lots to be a madhouse an hour before park opening. Am I wrong?

I see that WDW has transportation for early morning Character Breakfasts. I'm wondering if anyone has had much success with those busses.

I'll be coming from OKW, if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Do not drive to early ADR's at Breakfassaurus (sp?) or other Animal Kingdom locations. The parking lot does not open early enough on numerous occasions.

If you are staying offsite, park at All Stars or Animal Kingdom Lodge or Coronado Springs (say you are having breakfast there) and take the bus from there.

The MK (for Crystal Palace) parking lot (at TTC) should be open earlier, but also the MK toll plaza is always open since resort guests and CM's go through there. Just do not queue up not first in front of a booth with a red light overhead.

If per chance the MK lot is not open, you can bear right after the toll plaza and park at the Contemporary or Polynesian for about 3 hours. Tell the guard you are having breakfast there. Riide the monorail to MK.

Sorry to jump on this thread, but what about the Little Einsteins b-fast at Disney-MGM Studios? We have an 8:30 and want to drive, anyone done this before successfully?

Hop on! :Pinkbounc

I'd figure the situation there is the same as at MK and AK, but I have no experience with it. Hopefully someone can help you out.

Don't need to drive. Each resort has an early breakfast bus. Just ask at the front desk and they'll tell you what time the buses start. We went to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary and Donald's Breakfast at AK. Just board the appropriate park bus. For Chef Mickey's we got on the MK bus and the driver asked before we could even offer if we were going to Chef Mickey's. He actually dropped us off at the hotel. We thought we were going to have to go to MK and take the monorail back.

In each case we were there in pleny of time for our ADR.

Do you have to have ADRs to an early breakfast to ride these busses? Could someone who just wants to beat the rush get on?

FWIW, we rented a car on our last trip and had lots of ADRs at other resorts. Each verified with their list that we did in fact have the ressies. At the Contemporary we were told that since our reservation was not until 9 we couldn't park for another 30 minutes.

Just a head's up since some suggested parking at other resorts.

They seem to have really cracked down on the parking thing. When I was in college (UCF-1998) my roommate and I used to "visit" many resort pools. We always said we were going to the restaurants and never had a problem.

We used the bus from CSR to our 805am ressie at Crystal Palace last week--bus picked up around 730 and we were there in plenty of time.
