Transportation to DW from Offsite? Taxi?

My first question is:

Can my DH drop DD and I off at a Disney Resort without paying a gate fee? (we can ride buses from there)

Next:

After a day of fun can we get a taxi back to offsite hotel? Any idea on fares? Our hotel has a shuttle that you can ride round trip for $10 per person but the hours really don't suit me!

I'm not too fond of the off-property hotel shuttles. Many of them run buses that quite frankly, are not safe. (However, it should be said, there are some safe operators out there)

As for dropping off at a resort... if you're going to be having breakfast at the resort, then by all means. Otherwise, I'm not quite sure Security will let you in.

As for Taxi's... they can be found at the exit to all the parks in the special Taxi area. (For the MK, it's at the TTC). No clue on fare, since I dont know where you're staying, but it can get expensive.
