Transportation to Chef Mickey?

I've heard the best way to get to Chef Mickey from other resorts is to go to the MK and then walk to the Contemporary? Is this true? How long of a walk is it? We're staying at POFQ, so taking the boat direct is not an option... Any suggestions or experiences would be great!

We did just that a week ago. We stayed at All Star Music, took the bus to MK, and then it was a 5-10 minute walk to the Contemporary. There is a sidewalk basically underneath the Monorail track that will take you to the Contemporary.

The monorail drops you right at the Contemporary.

If you don't feel like walking you can also take the Resort Monorail just one stop to the Contemporary and once you exit on the 4th floor it's a quck 10 second walk to Chef Mickey's. Either way of getting to the Contemporary is great so you can't go wrong no matter what you want to do.
