I would like some advice... i am traveling the end of august with my DH, DD (6), DS (3) and my parents. we are staying at pc resort and would like to eat at cape may cafe for dinner. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to get there and time frame or suggestions for a better place to eat that may be easier to get to from pc. i would like to try something different than we've done in the past. my family loves seafood, so thought this may be the best option. what do you think? :flower: :flower: :flower:

Excellent choice of restaurants, one of our favorites. Assuming that you don't want to have to walk at all, you can take a bus to DTD and then take a bus to Beach/Yacht Club. Other options are buses from DTD to Swan/Dolphin or Boardwalk and then walk to the restaurant which will be no more then 10 minutes.

To get to any other resort from PC you have to take a bus to either DTD or a park and then to the second resort. Some buses go to both Yacht and Beach Club, make sure you get off at the Beach Club.

Another option is being at MGM and taking the boat to Y/B or being at Epcot where it is a short wealk to BC.

Or the easiest (and most expensive) way is to take a taxi.....

Enjoy!

Disney does not have transportation that goes directly from the PC to another Disney resort. The most convienent way would be to take a cab or two from PC over to the BC. If you don't mind going a little out of the way you could take the resort bus from the PC to the Studios and then get on the boat from the Studios and get off at the YC/BC stop. I have never had dinner at Cape May Cafe but I have heard that if seafood is your thing then this is a good place to check out.

thank you all for your help, we'll give it a try using the DTD bus and go from there.

I think I would take the first park bus that came and then transfer to Y&BC if you won't have a car or don't want to take a taxi.

Try this site: http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/asp/twiz.asp?action=rts
It didn't have the PC->DTD->BC option, but it has other options.

Good luck!

oh and I loved Cape May dinner, I think we waddled out to BW resort afterwards. There was no way I was properly walking after eating all that food... hehe...

You can take the MGM bus and then take the boat to YC/BC. Or if you are in Epcot before dinner, you can leave through the International Gateway. It's less than a five minute walk.

I always try and warn DISers that there is outdated information on this site, but the options that it came up with for this senario is crazy.

From the site, here are the options

Disney's Pop Century Resort B Epcot® Bt Disney's Beach Club Resort : 45 mins.

Disney's Pop Century Resort B Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park B Disney's Beach Club Resort : 41 mins.

Any of the recommendations listed by the other posters would be much better than either of these options. The first one you have to walk all the way through Epcot (and 45 minutes would be cutting it close)

thanks again, you're right it may be too long to travel, i may just consider someplace else, there are soooo many good choices with the dinning plan. maybe our next trip, we'll stay cloer to YC/BC and eat at CMC. thanks again for all the great info. can't wait until 8/28!

we were in MK so we just hopped on bus and took MK bus back. It was a little out of the way but so worth it. My DH's favorite meal of our trip. We were staying at Pop also.

Just remember with the EPCOT option, if you are in the park already, you will be surprised at how short of a walk it really is. If you plan to take the bus there, you will get off in front by Future World and have to walk thru the park to the International Gateway to exit.

We ate at Cape May about a month ago. We were staying at YC. The plan was to be at AK until after the parade, then swim at SAB, then eat dinner...Cape May was very convenient. I had heard that it wasn't all that great...and it wasn't. I would recommend it as an option for those staying at the Epcot area resorts because of the convenience, but it is not worth traveling for.

The weakest parts of the buffet were the seafood/"clam bake" offerings. The mussels tasted funny. Many of the clam shells were empty. The shrimp was way overcooked. The clam chowder was yummy, however. The offerings from the non-seafood side of the buffet were fine. The dessert buffet was excellent (esp. the famed oreo bon bons).

Are you doing a park that day, or DTD??? If so, just take the bus or water transportation from the park right to the Beach Club instead of going back to POP and starting out from there. Just a thought...but, on the way home, you would have to do the bus to DTD then to POP option probably. At least you would save yourself half of the transportation time getting there. :confused3
