Transportation to and from airport?

Well, I've booked my long weekend at RPR (it's a potential surprise for my husband on our 1 year anniversary, but we'll see if I can actually keep it a secret) and now I'm wondering....what is the best way to get there from MCO? Is there a shuttle service or do I need to take a cab?

And by the way, thank you to everyone in these forums who is always willing to help a Universal newbie!!!

There is no shuttle service that I know of, although you can book Mears if you want. A cab is fine too, but our preference is Sunray Transportation. (http://www.sunraytransportation.com). We like being the only fare in the car, and like to make sure our drivers know where they're going.

Put "The Mouse for Less" on the the "how did you hear about us" part of the reservation form. Your trip will cost you $82 round trip + tip, plus they will give you a grocery stop to pick up goodies for the room.

Would a cab be more expensive than Sunray?

A cab would run you a bit less, but if you get caught in traffic or get an idiot driver who doesn't know where he's going, there's always a chance it could cost you more.

For us, the price difference is negligible. A clean, spacious car with a driver who knows where he's going and will help you with your luggage plus a free grocery stop is totally worth maybe the extra $20, if that. Plus, with Sunray (or any car service), you know ahead of time that your car will be waiting for you at the hotel. You don't have to have the hotel call for a cab and wait for it and what if the cab takes too long to show up, or there's lots of people calling for a cab and the same time, and you were last to call, etc.
