Transportation Times

One day we were planning on two days to go to a water park from about 10AM-2PM, then take the bus back to our hotel to change clothes and head to the park. On one of the days we were going to AK (which closes at 8 for EMH) and another day Epcot. If we left the WP at 2, took the bus back and got ready (it would take us about 30 minutes to get ready), how much time are we talking for waiting for bus and taking bus back to Caribbean Beach from either TL or BB and then back to EP or AK... Well, EP is across the street from CBR so I guess that's not long at all (is it walking distance?). I was hoping we could be at AK by 3PM. Is that realistic? I'd like to be able to go to WP and enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed so I felt 10-2 was adequate time. I heard there is a bus from BB to AK directly but I do not feel comfortable taking a shower at a public water park bathroom and plus I'd have to pack conditioner at the least and a change of clothes for both my DH and myself and I hate to lug a backpack around the park afterwards.

I'm afraid the only way you'd be able to get from TL/BB to the CBR and back to Epcot in an hour is if you get to the bus stop and a your bus is leaving TL/BB, then yopu go back to the room for half an hour, come down to the bus stop and an Epcot bus is waiting.

And even that might take more than an hour.

You can't really walk from CBR to Epcot. I mean you could, distance-wise, but it's not practical..you'd be walking on the side of highways.

I would say it will take more like 90 minutes, and that's assuming it will be half an hour from the time you get off the bus at CBR to the time you leave your room after showering.

I wouldnt do a water park on a day you are going to AK. AK closes the earliest of the parks. I would think you are looking at least 15-20 minute wait for a bus. Thats the normal wait time they tell you. 10 minute bus ride? 30 minutes to change, another 15 minute bus wait and 5-10 more to epcot. If you are leaving a water park at 2, there is no way you will be back to a park by 3.

Ok I see.

Well, AK is open from 9 to 8 that day. If I'm going that day and it's EMH I want to do EMH to just do it or I feel kinda cheated. I guess I can just make a whole day out of it.

Epcot I'm not too worried about getting there in an hour because it opens until 12 midnight for EMH that day. Even if we get there around 4PM and stay until midnight that's plenty of time.

I have a separate question about Epcot EMh but I'll make another post.

I should also add that later in the week we have a free day to revisit a park so if we have to we can go back to AK or EP if we didn't have enough time.

I guess I can bring all the stuff to BB and go directly from BB to AK. Or leave BB earlier than 2PM.

Which take longer? BB or TL?

BB is closer to AK.

I didn't mean which was closer to AK. I meant which one takes longer to go through, ride the slides, swim, etc (for two adults so no kiddie stuff). Which one is bigger I guess?

We've found that BB is more popular the times we've gone there (not that TL is empty, but BB seems to be more crowded).
