I am hoping that someone here will be able to make a recommendation to me! Having not been to the parks in such a long time, I am a bit confused about transportation. Between the different monorail lines, the boats and everything else, I am having a difficult time deciphering how I will get from place to place. Of course, I know that from our resort (CBR) we will takes buses to all the parks. But for getting to other resorts, I am confused.

Are there any sites out there that really explain or lay out Disney transportation well? I know there will always be CM's around to help, but I would prefer to not have to ask every time we want to head out somewhere.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Here's a link to a website with a transportation wizard. It shows several ways to get from one place to another within WDW. Usually traveling from CBR to another resort involves taking a bus to a park or DD and then taking another form of transportation to that resort. Always keep in mind the park hours when transferring at a park. Good luck!

When you check-in to the Caribbean Beach, you will be given a transportaion schedule. It's laid out like a grid.......with every location at WDW listed across the top of the grid.....and then again, every location is listed down the left side. All you do is find the location where you are (on the left side), then find the location of where you want to go (across the top) and where those two grids meet, it shows a code (or codes). Each code respresents the recommended method of transportaion.

For instance: If I want to get from the Polynesian to the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, I'd find the Polynesian on the left hand column and Fort Wilderness across the top. Where those grids cross, the codes might say "B, H". "B" might say take the monorail from the Polynesian to the Magic Kingdom then "H" might say take the motor launch from the Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness.

Note: the codes I listed aren't necessarily actual. I don't know what they are off-hand since I don't have the transportation schedule in front of me. I just used those for an example. ;)

Maybe someone here can post a copy of the schedule.......or a link to it. :scratchin

Do you want to know how to get to other resorts from CBR? If so, you will have to take buses. I don't think the buses will say the resorts name (the digital lettering that flashes on the front of the bus) but for example if you want to go to the Boardwalk- that is considered an EPCOT hotel so my guess is that you would look for an EPCOT bus and then you would have to ask the bus driver if he is going to the Boardwalk first and have him drop you off there. Otherwise you would have to take a bus to either Downtown Disney or the TT center and wait for the bus marked for the resort you want to go to. At check in the CBR should give you a Transportation Guide/Map, if they don't ask them for one, this wil tell you how to get to anywhere in the park.

Thank you all for putting my mind at ease! I didn't know about that transportation grid, so that will be a great help. Until then, I will check out that transportation wizard link.

Again, I appreciate your quick responses!!! ::yes::

There are no buses to the Epcot resort from Epcot. You exit out the back of Epcot at the International Gateway and either walk or take the boat. You can also take a bus to Disney Studios and take the boat or walk to the Epcot resorts without entering the park.

Generally speaking the best way to go from resort to resort, when the parks are open, is to get a bus from your resort to a park, then take a bus from there to the resort you want. Only at Epcot is this not a good idea. You would have to walk thru Epcot to get to BWI, Y/BC resorts. You could try either MK or MGM. MGM might be a good choice for you since it's somewhat close to CBR. You can also grab a cab if the parks are closed. They aren't too expensive.

Usually if you want to get to another resort and are not already in a park then your best bet would be to to the the CBR's bus to Downtown Disney and hop on another resort bus there. You can always take a cab too if you don't feel like dealing with all the transferring hasels.
