Transportation Question

I have searched the board for this info and I'm sure it's here somewhere but have yet to find it. My 5 year old daughter, turning 5 the day after we get to WDW and my wife and I are going to Disney in April. My parents are driving and will be there for just 3 days. We will be flying and staying 7. The question is: Can they ride on the buses with us or take a boat ride with us to get to the other resorts for breakfast etc or to the parks? They will be staying offsite, but will have a park hopper pass with them. Do they check anything when trying to ride? My wife and I went to WDW for our Honeymoon in 98 and haven't been back since. I can't remember what it was like in tryingn to get to the parks and such. Thanks for any help!!

The transportation is for all Disney "guests" day or over-night.

thanks for the answers!! I was thinking it was only for the resort guests and was trying to figure out logistics.
