We are freaking about our budget right now because my fiance's father is being...well... this is a family place, so I'll just say he's being a stinker! Anyway, we were looking through our wishbook to see where we could cut things, and we noticed we had about $1300 allotted for transportation which seemed silly when we are having our ceremony at the WP and our reception at the Napa room.

So....

What is the policy for using the monorail and boats? Can our guests use them? Is it only available to them if they are staying at a WDW resort? How much parking availability is there for those that will have cars? I thought I read somewhere that the limo for the wedding party is complimentary, yet the wishbook says it's between $550-$600 for it. I don't supposed we're allowed to ride the monorail or boats in our wedding gear???

I haven't heard that limos for the wedding party are complimetry.. maybe someone who has had a wedding can comment. Your guests can use the monorail and that is exactly what I would have them do! Why waste the money when it is so close. Also instead of getting a limo for yourself (unless you want one of course) you can take a one way town car for about $25.00 so definately look into it. Trust me you should cut corners on less important things that way you have more money to spend on those very important things.... like cake lol. Now if your location was anywhere else I would say that transportation for your guests would be conveiniant .

Thanks! Can the guests only use the monorail if they are WDW resort guests?

Can we use the monorail in our wedding gear?

Thanks for the towncar tip!!! That's much better than paying $550 for a limo to take us less than a mile :rotfl:

Your guests can use the monorail from the gf...the only thing is for yourself (in your dress) and older guets it is a bit of a walk from the GF. maybe they can arreange a golf cart to take older guets to the monorail and you can do a one way town car?

I have heard of brides riding the monorail but I think it would be easier and much more conveiniant to take the town car especially since it is so cost officiant. Guests do not have to be staying at a wdw resort to use the monorail.

Awesome! That's what I wanted to hear :) I love the golf cart idea too. We will have about 4-5 people that might not be able to make the trek over to the monorail. Is it really that far? Would it be ignorant for us to ask guests to walk to it? I am SOOOOOOO glad they can use it. That saves us a TON of money. Then we will just get a town car and we'll be set. I love you guys :teeth: :goodvibes

I haven't walked it... I am not sure if the GF will provide the golf carts though.. I have heard that wont. Even if they dont just get two or 3 town cars and you are still good to go for under $100

It IS a hike, especially in the heat from the WP to the monorail. Another option--depending on the size of your party and where they are staying...i found it really nice to have everyone delivered on the bus as the people who drove themselves came at scattered times (one was late). You can use the bus just to get your guests from their hotels and then to take them TO the Napa but let them get their own ride home. I think they have a 4 hour minimum? It's cheaper that way...we had two buses and it was approx. $800.

make sure you have the golf cart noted on your beo & that your coordinator has it on her schedule & follows through on it. we reserved a golf cart for some of our older guests from the yc gazebo to ariels & then from ariels to the dock for our dp. even though it was listed in our beo my coordinator didnt have one after the ceremony which i found out about later & then didnt have a cart ready for the dock & they ended up getting wheelchairs after a few minutes of frusturation & pushing them in the wheelchairs from ariels.
