Transportation Question Resort to Resort

We are scheduled to at WDW next month. We have a 9:30 pm reservation on the 9th at the California Grill. Will buses still be running when we're done so we can get back to Port Orleans when we're done the meal? It's later than the parks are open, so I wasn't sure. First time doing something like this.

After the parks close your option is to either take a bus to Disney Springs (if it is open) then another to your resort or, hire private transportation.

Disney does not do any direct resort to resort transportation even during park hours.

I don’t think there is a bus that runs directly from CR to PO. You’ll either have to Uber/Lyft or take a bus to Disney Springs to get a bus to PO. If MK busses are still running you can walk there and get a bus to PO. It’s a short walk.

Resort-to-Resort is frequently a problem if attempting to use Disney Transportation.

According to Disney website, buses end an hour after a Park closes.

Keep in mind, that would include Extra Hours (available to Deluxe Resort customers).

But in the end, best recommendation - particularly if you are dressed all nice coming from an expensive meal - take a taxi.

Thanks! I was aware that we can't go from resort to resort and was figuring on some transfering, was mostly curious as to how late we might still use WDW transportation. Disney Springs is open until 11, so we probably will be able to do that.

If Magic Kingdom buses are still running, walk over there and take the bus. They may not be at that hour, but they will run until the park is completely clear of guests. Bear in mind that people have reservations right at closing time at restaurants like Be Our Guest.
If MK buses are not running, your best option is either to grab the bus from the Contemporary to Disney Springs and then the boat over to Port Orleans, or to grab an Uber, Lyft, or taxi.
