Transportation plans after Fantasmic! Question

We are staying in OKW and plan on seeing F! on 12/8. I have heard some bad things about counter service food at DHS so I was thinking about the following:

Leave DHS after F! take the boat to DTD, eat at Wolfgang Puck's Express and then take the boat back to OKW. Am I correct that I can do this? Any difficulties that I am not seeing?

Aside from there not BEING a boat - or navigable waterway - between DHS and DTD? Nope No direct bus, either.

You could walk or take the boat over to the Boardwalk and eat there; or get a bus from any of those hotels (Boardwalk, BC/YC, Dolphin/Swan) to Downtown Disney, or take a taxi; or you could just get something at Goods to Go when you get back to OKW.

Maybe just take the boat to Epcot eat at the WS take the boat back to DHS for Fantasmic ?

you could take a bus from dhs to okw then transfer to the dtd bus and or boat. if it late enough and you ask they will take you to a stop they dont serve they will take you. i was once there after park close and after walking from board walk for the first time we was going to be late for diner so we asked a transpation cast member at dhs. weexplain to him what has happen and he said if it after park close they will have a bus drive us to the board walk. he told us what number to go and when we got there the drive called it in and they told him to drive us so mybe you could do that it migh not work to dtd. but you could say you parked your car there and have no way to get to dtd. theywill help you. or just tell them the truth not that the food is bad just that you want to get food and then go back to your hotel they be able to direct you to the best option.

The truth? Now there's an interesting suggestion!

well if you want to make it intresting you could try to get securty to drive you to dtd. Just tell them you are being follwed and planed on walk to the boadwalk to take the bus to dtd but dont feel comfortable and safe. and ask if they could drive you to make sure you arrive there safe that depending on how many are in your party if they all will fit in the securty truck. If they ask if you want the police or them to talk to them just say no dont want to scare the kids or put them through any trama. if they wont drive you which they will they have to amke sure your safeand cant get the buses to take you then i guess the best option is to take the bus to okw then transfer.

by the way it wont be a lie there most likely some one behind you walking to the bus they dont have to know they wasnt following you.

Sorry, it won't work. When I used to drive nights, a couple of times I asked permission to drop guests at DTD on one of the last few buses from DHS. I was told to drop them at OKW or SS.

The Epcot resorts are different, because the buses have to cover when the boats aren't running.

i figured that it being to dtd i know if it was to a resort they will or use to but figured it wouldnt hurt to try. well who better then a disney cast member who drives a bus thanks.
