Transportation Options from SSR to parks and DTD

Staying at SSR this fall - first timer at this resort. Does anyone know what my transportation options getting to/from parks and downtown disney are? Seems like it's all bus supported. I head something about a walkway to downtown disney - true?

It is a short walk to DTD. Depends on where you are located at SSR could be 5-15 minutes.
