We are planning a trip for the end of May.
We usually fly into Orlando and love the ME.
This trip, because of rates and what is available from our airport, we are flying into Sanford. We've done this before and gotten a rental, kept it the length of our stay, driven back and returned the car there.
This time it will be complicated because we are thinking of adding a 3 day cruise. We don't see the point in having the car just sit for 5 days at WDW and then again at the port.
DH suggests getting a car at the airport, turning it in at the Hertz at the Hess station on property. Picking it up again to go to port, turning it in there. Then getting one from port and turning it in at Sanford.
Sounds like A LOT of wasted time to me, even though I understand it will save money.
I know we could pay Disney to shuttle to port but we don't need to come back to property and they don't go to Sanford from the port.
Has anyone go through this before and suggestions on what to do?
