Transportation Help

This is our first trip to Disney and everything is so overwhelming. I am trying to find cheap transportation for while we are in Disney July 24-31. I have a small car reserved for $150 for the week but because we only have debit cards, there will be a large security deposit charged on the card. The money will not be put back on for several weeks after the car is returned. That money could be used towards other things on our trip.
We are staying at a timeshare resort for 5 days and then going to Cocoa Beach for two days. The timeshare has shuttles to the parks. But I'm not sure how often they run.
We could use their shuttles. But how do we get from the airport to the resort, to Cocoa Beach and then back to the airport? Then we are stuck at those locations and not able drive around FL.
I have tried discount codes for car rentals but none work for the time we going. Does anyone have suggestions on different codes and/or what we could do? Thanks!

I used a debit card in Jan and had no big charge on my account. I did have to prove I had round trip itinerary though. I didn't realize it at the time (evidently I hadn't read the fine print), so it was a huge hassle for me. Had to go to SW and get a copy of my return home flight info, before Alamo would allow me to rent a car. But, that was the only difference from when I used a regular credit card. What company are you using? I would assume that different companies have different guidelines.

The reservation is through Payless. They were the cheapest for the time we will be in FL.
I have noticed that discount codes don't work for the dates we will be in FL. Anyone know why?
