We will be in WDW late November and wanted to visit Universal roller coaster park for one day. What is the best/most cost effective way to travel to Universal from WDW? Would it be a rental car, car/limo service or is there a shuttle? Look forward to hearing how others travelled and what worked best. Thank you.

someone say they rented a car at Disney for $20 a day. that is an excellent rate for one days rental....

so I would go with it. I guess you can look Alamo - or National and see what one day rental would be. It is at the MK service station. (they will come get you and take you back)

the mears shuttle/van cost around $30 a person. the taxi is more expensive (I think).

oh at US/IOA it will cost $10 a day to park.

plus the parking lot is a 1/2mile from either entrance. (ioa or us). I got told that by a CM who was walking it with us.

depending on which WDW resort you're staying, the taxi is usually is more expensive than a Mears-type shuttle.

if you do get a rental car, you do have to factor in the parking fee. the walk from the deck to IOA is no big deal, it's covered and there are people movers most of the way.

if you do take a taxi, they'll drop you off near the entrance to Citywalk, the gateway to the parks. and unlike WDW, the won't charge you the $10.00 parking fee on top of your taxi ride.
