Hi..

I just posted this on transportation, but thought maybe I should post here as well.
We're doing the land/sea pkg. Our old travel agent told us that the trip from WDW to the port was included. I asked our new one and she said no. We could pay for the three legs for 69.00 pp.
All along, I thought we just had to find car service from the airport to WDW...then from the port back to the airport.
So what is it????
I really want to stop at the store, so we'll have a car service pick us up. Does Disney for sure not stop? I can see why not. But it sure would be nice to have them handle all the baggage too.
Gosh, now by the time you tip three legs of transportation, it will be about the same cost.

What do you all think?

Did your new TA take out the transportation part? I too thought it was included in the land/sea package. If not you may want to look into renting a car. You could make that stop with no problems, you can drive to the port drop off your bages, curb side baggage handlers there will take care of your luggage, then drive to the rental office. Avis and Budget have offices by the port and both offer free shuttle service to and from the port.

When we did the land/sea option in November transfers from the airport to the port were NOT included in the fare (unless we specifically paid for them through either Disney or the agent which we decided not to do and to just get our own.) It was almost 200 cheaper for the 7 of us to do our own car service from yourride.net than it was to just take the Disney shuttle service from the airport to the port and back. We stayed at the Poly the first 3 days, took a car service at midnight from yourride to the Poly athat Thurs night, then left our luggage on Sun morning at bellservice in Poly and went to AK, had car service pick all 7 of us up at the AKL and take us to the Poly to get our luggage out of bell storage and then head off to the port, then pick us back up at the port and take inlaws luggage to an airport hotel and all of us to POR, then pick inlaws up at the POR at 10 that night and take them to the airport hotel and we stayed, then they picked the 5 of us up at POR and took us to MCO the following Saturday and it was STILL about 200 cheaper for the 7 of us doing private car service than it was to just take the Disney transfers to the port and back plus we got a grocery stop on the way down and a "potty" stop at a gas station on the way from the ship back to WDW. It was great and much cheaper and we chose when we wanted to go and leave and everything! I would check some of the places like yourride.net, happylimo and some of the others listed on here and see if you can get them cheaper but I know that it was not auto included in our land/sea in November.
Hope that helps!

We were able to get a much!!! better price on our land/sea by doing MUCH!! research and purchasing all pieces seperatly. We have the 9/18 3 day cruise booked first then 4 days at wdw.

We are arriving on the evening prior to the cruise, got a hotel 1mi from airport so i decided to ck on rental cars (suggestion from passporter) one way rentals (usually very expensive). Found great deal for Budget, they have a desk at MCO and no longer charge extra for one way, for $45 3hr rental. DH will take shuttle (or taxi) to MCO in am to p/u car, then will retrieve me and 2 dd's then off to Port, there is a publix in port canaveral for picking up beer, soda etc.... Budget drop off in port will shuttle us to terminal...upon return from cruise we simply call them and shuttle will pick us up then we get our car for return trip (same price) to WDW...with a grocery stop on the way...
Booking transportation this way saved us at least $70. Plus no stress about being picked up on time...etc....

hope this helps
