Normally fly into LAX, but got a really good deal on a flight to SNA. What is the best form of tranport. Cabs? Vans? Buses? We normally use a company that has Honda minivans. Not sure if its worth it now, as the drive is about 20 min. At least that is what I think it is? Company names would be awesome. Thanks all.

We found it convenient on our last trip to just grab a cab at the airport rather than have a reservation with some one waiting on us. The only time I tried getting a shuttle did not work for us because our train was late and then I could not find them and they could not find me. It was such a hassle. We ended up taking a cab.

We did have a town car on the way back to the airport because that's what DI called for us when we asked for them to call us a cab. I did enjoy that ride much more compared to the worn out cab. We will probably use them again. Our driver was great. His name was Sunday and he was with A Plus Limo. Seems like the fare was about $50 which was very close to the cab fare.

This year's trip from the airport in November we have another family coming with us so there will be 7 of us. I don't think that will work in one cab so I have ressies for a limo from U-R-THERE Limousine Service. I thought I would surprise the teens. I'm rather excited too since I have never ridden in a limo. They gave me a qoute of $129 which is close to what we would have paid for 2 cabs, plus they gave me a free upgrade from a 6 passenger to a 10 passenger. I'll have to report back on how it goes!

Oooh, I didn't think about gas prices. Fares may be even more this year for a cab!

I booked Express Shuttle for the transfer from SNA to the hotel. It's $8 per person with the discount that I found when I searched them on the net. You could prepay tip as well. It is cancelable within I think it was 4 hours of pick up without a penalty. We are renting a car the final day from Alamo in DTD and will be going to the beach and use it to go back to the airport. It was $26.xx so not bad at all in my opinion.

We have done the following:

DL express bus, works ok, especially if you are staying at the DLH as I believe it stops there first. may have to get off that bus onto another one if you are staying elsewhere, and you have to wait for it to arrive on it's schedule. My least favorite option.
Karmell shuttle, worked fine, again somewhat of a wait, even with ressies, but usually we were the only ones or one other group so not a lot of riding around other hotels.
Taxi, a little more expensive. We did this last year when there were three of us instead of two. Much more convient, as you just walk outside the airport and hop in. This year we will cab again even tho it is only 2 of us. Of note, we stayed at PP last year and when we were leaving I asked about a cab and they gave us a coupon for a flat rate going back to SNA.
Good luck

We did the Disneyland Express bus the first time - we were staying at GCH and it was the 2nd stop. On our last trip, we stayed at the Camelot and took a taxi. It was about $40-45 (including tip) total each way for 2 adults and 1 child.
