Transportation from Sea World to Universal Hotels

I posted this question in the Universal Hotel forums but had no luck getting a response, so I thought I'd post it here! We are going to Universal and will be spending a day at Sea World as well, staying on-site at Universal. What is the best way to get from Sea World back to the Universal Hotels? I know there is a shuttle, but I thought I read somewhere that it departs Sea World and 5pm and we want to stay later since we are doing the dinner with Shamu at 6:00. Does anybody have any suggestions?

We were just there on Monday and took a cab to Sea World from Royal Pacific (discretion is the better part of valor ).

The ride came to $16.50 and there is a taxi pool at both ends of the ride. We wanted to stay for the fireworks so the hotel transportation wasn't an option. I wanted tasty beverages, so neither was me driving.

It was worth staying in my opinion. We really liked the fireworks show from our spot in the stadium.

Since you are planning on staying later, I would also recommend a cab...seems like the easiest thing to do.

The cab sounds good to me too, as I know my crew will want to stay until park closing.

Anyone know if they have cabs that accommodate 6?

Was the total cost $20? We are 3 adults and 4 kids under the age of 6. That is a deal at 20 bucks each way

Anyone know what a cab from SeaWorld to Pop Century would run? DD and I are going in August and I've been wondering if we should do the Mears Shuttle or just take a cab ourselves?

I called Mear. They gave me a price around 22.00 ea way from POP to Sea World. We r 3 adults/4 kids and that included car seats.
