Transportation from Sanford Airport

We will be flying into Sanford Airport in March. Does anyone have any suggestions for transportion to Disney Resorts? I noticed that some town car companies do operate from there, of course the rate is higher than MCO. The cost for a rental car will be about the same.

We used TT when we flew into Sanford in '01. There were 6 of us, so we needed something bigger than the towncar. They told me we would have a van, but they showed up in a stretch limo. The cost was about $180 r/t, I think.

I flew into Sanford this summer and found it cheaper to rent a car from Alamo, drive to DW and drop it off the next day at the car care center (and then do the smae thing in reverse when we returned) than renting a town car. It also gave us a bit of flexibility on the day we arrived (we stopped at a store and for a late late dinner) and the day we left (we went to Universal and had dinner at Margaritaville).

I know that Happy Limo will do pickups at Sanford because we had considered taking Pan Am from Gary, Ind. to Sanford a while back. I asked Happy about it, and they said they do many international customers out of Sanford. Pan Am stopped those flights, so I never actually did it. Ask about the coupon rate and see if they give discounts from Sanford as well as from MCO. It never hurts to ask!

DH prefers the flexabilty of a rental but I like the ease of a town car. This is our first time flying into Sanford, we got a great rate of $59 with Southeast Air out of Newburgh NY.
