Transportation From Rainforest Cafe

We have a PS at 5:00 p.m. for Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. I know that Animal Kingdom usually closes at 5:00 p.m. and Disney Transportation runs 1 hour past closing time. Does that mean that we have until 6:00 p.m. to catch Disney Transportation back to wherever we are going?

Don't worry - Disney wouldn't leave you stranded, they want you elsewhere where you can be spending $, not in the AK parking lot When you exit and walk to where the buses are, there will be CMs asking where you're headed. We wanted to go to DD, so we said AKL (can't go direct from a park to DD). There were buses waiting, and away we went. If I remember correctly we were done around 6:15-30ish. HTH

Thanks for the replies.

We did this very same thing back in 2001, but we drove our rental car that time. I remember walking out of the restaurant and our car was practically the only car in the parking lot. I guess the thing I'm worried about is how long it might take to get a table (even though we have a PS), and how long dining at the Rainforest Cafe usually takes.


And princessmom5, I do intend to order the Volcano this time for dessert! I'm sure DW and the kids will love it!
