What is the easiest and fastest way from Port Orleans French Quarters to Fort Wilderness? We are planning our trip to the World Sept 27 to Oct 3 and we are planning to see the Hoopty Doo Review. Thanks.

You have two options open to you.

1. Take the boat to DTD and then get on the Fort Wilderness Bus.

2. Take the bus to MK and then the boat to Fort Wilderness.

Not sure on timing but I would plan at least an hour and a half because neither of the boats travel very fast, yet are very relaxing.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT!...attempt Option #2 above if MK is having MNSSHP that night!!!!

**spoken from experience....!:rolleyes1**

Anywho! I would probably recommend Option #1. We've done both and the MK can just be so crazy at that time of day (whether you have the early, middle or late seating). Regardless, I would plan 2 hours to make the trip (crazy, I know, but that's Disney transportation between resorts for ya!)

The best option, if you can swing it: call a cab.

Enjoy the Hoop-de-Doo!!! GREAT show!:thumbsup2

Check at the front desk. Several years ago they used to run a bus for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue directly from Port Orleans to the Ft. Wilderness drop off near the show. In 1998 we took a Hoop-Dee-Doo bus from "Dixie Landings" (Port Orleans Riverside) for the early show. Not sure they still do it, but worth a check. :confused3

What really stinks is that the bus from PO to MK goes right by FW (or it used to if the route has changed). You almost want to ask the bus driver to make a quick stop. From the exit of PO to the entrance of FW is probably less than a five minute ride... make a right out of PO onto Bonnet Creek Pkwy and then and a left at the next traffic light onto Vista Blvd. FW is about 1.5 miles or so from PO. Unfortunately you have to go all the way to a park and then back again to travel this short distance.

We went to the HDDR last September and there was no bus from the resort and we stayed at POFQ.
