We're going on a cruise out of Miami in January. It is much cheaper to fly into Orlando than any of the other airports in Florida. Is there transportation from Orlando to Miami? Suggestions?

Renting a car is probably your best option. Be sure to figure that cost in when you look at airline prices.

Also, we found flying into Fort Lauderdale and taking a car service to Miami was significantly cheaper that flying into Miami.

Where are you flying out of? When we have cruised from Miami, we have flown into Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach depending on which had the better pricing at the time. They are all pretty comparable with Orlando pricing for us. Sometimes Orlando has been a little lower but not low enough that it is worth the 4 hour drive unless you plan to hit the parks before your cruise.

We had to get from Orlando to Miami last year for the WBPC. We were not expecting to, but due to flight delays on our first leg, we could no make our Miami flight. We flew into Orlando instead, rented a car, and drove it in a little more than 3 hours. Tolls were confusing for us poor Canadians that don't have them, but otherwise, it was quite an easy drive until right into Miami. Budget had a drop off very close to the port and had a shuttle to the port.

Thanks for the info!

We're coming from Kansas City. It seems like the flights into Ft Lauderdale and Miami are almost twice as much as the ones into Orlando for some reason. A couple years ago we drove down to Disney from here and we drove all over Florida, just the kids and I. I am not opposed to driving if it saves me a fair amount of money. Just trying to figure out the most economical way.
