I've never stayed at a Universal hotel - how do you get to the parks from the various 3 hotels?

Which do you like best (for ease of park entry)?

All of the hotels are within walking distance. Depending on the hotel and how tired your feet are, walking takes about 5-20 minutes. It's a nice walk along a path by the water. Or all 3 hotels also have boats that will bring you to the parks.:thumbsup2

WOW - 5 to 20 minutes is quite a variable. Is that distance related or how fast/slow you walk? If distance, which hotel is closest?

I can find park maps, but not of the whole resort area... If anyone has that info that might help too.

Thanks!

That map was neat, but since I don't know the resort, I had no clue what I was looking at.

Had some time to 'goggle' it and I found this map

http://www.floridaorlandotickets.net/universal_orlando_park_map.html - well the image didn't show up - guess you can click on the link if anyone else wants to see it.

So, do the boats drop you off right near the entrance to the specific parks? Can't really tell where the drop off points are. Although, anything has to be better than the 10 mile :scared: walk from the parking lot! LOL (I know it's not THAT far, but it sure feels like it - even with the moving walkways!)

For some crazy reason, I always think US is on the left and IOA is on the right... (and normally I have a really good sense of direction -- oh well.)

Its about the same from all the hotels to the front of the parks as it is from the parking lot to the front of the gates. Depends on how fast you walk. I had to get back to PB from USF during Mardi Gras, and I made it in 4 minutes...briskly walking.....and breathing heavy.
The boats drop you off in the middle of City Walk in that big lake thing in the middle.....on the east side, and the parks on the west side. All in all it will take you the same amount of time to get to the boats, wait in line, get on a boat and ride, as it will take you to just walk to your room from the park. But it all depends on how tired you are. Now, with that said....its still a helluva lot shorter than the Death Marches at disney. But at the end of the day at either, your feet dont care...an inch feels like a million miles.

we almost always walk from HRH or RPR. Only time we catch the ferry is if one is approaching or at dock as we walk by.
