OK so I'm a bit in commando mode today.....

As I haven't booked a package I have to organise travel to WDW and back again. I've never had to do this from MCO before, what would you suggest for lil' ol' me.

The Swan charge $112 round trip a tad on the expensive side me thinks - surely a taxi would be cheaper?!

Try a towncar service like Tiffany Towncars:

http://www.tiffanytowncar.com/

They charge $80 round trip from MCO to WDW.

They meet you at baggage reclaim and help get your bags. The drivers are really nice and friendly.
They will also stop at a grocery store on route so you can stock up on room snacks.

We have just booked Tiffany on line - I have a $5 voucher in the back of my passporter to use :D

On the transportation board there are a number of recommendation for www.yourride.net

Apparently they are a DIS Sponsor, and there is a $5 coupon on the website.

I'm looking into booking them for our trip in September. (leaving it a bit late I know)

I've used Tiffany a couple of times and was very pleased.

If there are more than three of you in your party a town car will be more cost-effective than a shuttle bus such as Mears. I'd still do it even if there were only two of us - there's nothing like coming down that escalator at MCO to the baggage hall and seeing the driver holding up a card with your name on it ;) (I know, I should get out more! )

Hi Sam

I assume you are travelling by yourself from the airport? If so, I'm pretty sure that Mears will be your cheapest option as you pay per person. We have used Mears on both our trips booked with Virgin Holidays, and had no problem. You just go down in the lift to the Mears depot and tell them which hotel you are going to and they will tell you how long a bus will be. There may already be one there waiting, or you may have a short wait - there are benches to sit on.

On the other hand, if you want a bit of luxury you would be better off with a towncar. We are going to use Tiffany Towncar for our Xmas trip as I have heard good reports about them on the DIS.

If you really want to splash out you could also book a stretch limo! ;)

HTH :D
