Hello- first time DCL'er here!

I'll be flying into MCO fairly late - likely out of the airport 11:30pm to midnight.

I'm staying at a hotel near the port, but I don't think it's got a shuttle service.

Any reccomendations for getting to the Port that late? Do people normally use uber or is there a well reviewed shuttle that runs at that time?

Thanks,

kris

Uber and Lyft should work fine.

I recommend you stay at the Hyatt Regency in the MCO airport and add DCL's transportation service to Port Canaveral for the next morning. DCL/Hyatt will handle your luggage from your room in the morning, and you will not have to stress over fighting for a Port Arrival Time during check-in.

Cabs or Uber/Lyft are the way to go.

I would second staying in or near the airport. There is no reason for making your way to PC after a long day of flying if you’re not going to have a rental car. This will give you more options on the morning of the cruise and the ride to PC, while only 45-50 minutes, will be more enjoyable and safer. We once arrived at MCO around 2AM because of a late flight and we had booked a room at the Residence inn in PC. The cab driver was way past his bedtime and nearly falling asleep while driving.

Staying at the Hyatt the night before our cruise - so the DCL transpiration is best?

We're going to Swan/Dolphin after our cruise - would we use DCL or is there a better option for the return leg?

"Best" is subjective, but DCL Transfers from Hyatt MCO are definitely very convenient. How many in your party? It does get pricey.

Last I knew DCL offered transfers to the Swan/Dolphin. Again, if you have a larger party it can be more expensive than other options.

Would be a family of four, and kids are old enough to ride in Uber/Lyft without a car seat.

DCL transfers are $39 per person, each way. So $156 one-way for your family; $312 if using both pre- and post-cruise transfers. Several options may be less expensive, but trading convenience for cost-savings. One-way car rental or ride-share are both likely less expensive, private car service may be similar cost but could allow for a stop along the way if that's important. You'll want to consider pros and cons for each.
